This week’s Current Court Report includes arraignments and dispositions from the Tuesday Nantucket District Court session.

Elvis M. De Aza Alvarado
, 54, of Nantucket will have a February 6th charge of indecent exposure dismissed on the condition he pay $100 in court costs after footage of the incident was reviewed by prosecutors.

According to the police report, Alvarado was pulled over by police on Bartlett Road for driving a truck with an unlit driver’s side headlight. When police approached the driver’s side window, they observed Alvarado to have glossy eyes and detected a slight smell of alcohol emanating from his face.

Alvarado told police he was drinking “right now” and then said he only had two beers.

Alvarado agreed to conduct field sobriety exercises, but only completed one before telling police he “needed to use the bathroom.” Alvarado proceeded to undo his belt and urinate on the road. Police added that a civilian allegedly saw the entire incident play out, as well as passing vehicles.

Alvarado was not charged with an operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol charge after apparently going on to pass all of his field sobriety tests.

A warrant was issued for the arrest of Denis Jales Constantino, 37, address unknown, for failing to appear in court for an arraignment session on a December 22nd, 2025 charge of larceny over $1,200 by a single scheme, as well as several motor vehicle violations such as operating an uninsured motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration.

According to the police report, a representative from Cape Cod Five reported fraud to the police involving Constantino. The representative said Cape Cod Five investigated Constantino, who has a negative account balance of $6,865.97. The bank told police Constantino “deprived their bank of this money by cashing and negotiating checks he did not have sufficient funds for.”

On November 10th, 2025, Constantino allegedly deposited three bad checks totaling $294,970 into his account, which prior to the deposit had a balance of $44.33. All three checks were signed by Constantino and negotiated at Rockland Trust and TD Bank. Two days later on November 12th, Constantino withdrew $1,000 at 6:32 a.m. and $5,000 at 2:46 p.m. On November 17th, Constantino made a debit card transaction of $817.17 that caused the account to go to the balance of negative $6,865.97 due to insufficient funds.

Police spoke to Constantino’s brother, Edgar, who told them that Constantino left the United States to move back to Brazil. He then advised police that his brother “will not be returning to the United States.”

Luis Lorenzo Lopez
, 35, of Nantucket was arraigned on April 15th charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, failure to stop/yield, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. He had not-guilty pleas entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court May 18th for a pretrial hearing.

Luis Bienvenido Marmolejos Rodriguez
, 42, of Nantucket was arraigned on a December 6th, 2025 charge of larceny of a motor vehicle. He had a not-guilty plea entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court June 15th for a pretrial hearing.

According to the police report, Rodriguez allegedly made an agreement with his boss to purchase a truck for $12,000. While Rodriguez said he was making payments, the truck’s owner and his former boss told police those payments were for money “already owed” and that no payments have been made towards the truck.

The owner told police because Rodriguez isn’t working for him anymore, that is why he needs the truck back. Rodriguez was able to prove to police he has made payments to his former boss, but was unable to prove they were for the truck.

Despite Rodriguez’s former boss still being the active owner of the truck, having the title and registration and there being no bill of sale for the truck, Rodriguez continues to refuse to give the vehicle back to the owner, telling police he “needs it for evidence.”

Marcos Domingo Martinez Contreras
, 41, of Nantucket was arraigned on a March 14th charge of assault & battery. He had a not-guilty plea entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court May 18th for a pretrial hearing.
