This week’s Current Court Report includes arraignments and dispositions from Monday’s Nantucket District Court session.
Robert Gordon Ackerman, 52, of South Port, Connecticut, will have a June 15 charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol continued without a finding for one year on the condition he complete his probation without a violation, complete a driver alcohol education program, and pay $600 in court fees.
Charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation stemming from the same incident were dismissed.
Arlin J. Amador Gonzalez, 44, of Nantucket, will have a May 26 charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle continued without a finding for two months on the condition he complete his probation without a violation and pay $150 in court fees.
Charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, failing to stop/yield, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and a marked lanes violation stemming from the same incident were dismissed.
Vincent Carl Benoit, 19, of Nantucket, will have May 19 charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license continued without a finding for one year and six months respectively on the condition he complete his probation without a violation.
Charges of possessing liquor while under the age of 21, failing to wear a seatbelt, and speeding stemming from the same incident were dismissed
A Duquette alternative was also ordered on an old charge Benoit is currently serving probation on of using a motor vehicle without authority, which means if Benoit violates his probation, he would be sentenced to 60 days in the Barnstable House of Corrections.
Samantha Brownell, 35, of Nantucket will have a July 28, 2023 charge of leaving the scene of property damage continued without a finding for 90 days on the condition she complete her probation without a violation and pay $550 in court costs.
Charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle stemming from the same incident will be dismissed on the condition she pay $200 in court costs.
May 22 charges Brownell is facing of operating an uninsured motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle will be dismissed on the condition she pay $500 in court costs.
Henrry Estuardo Lopez, 20, of Nantucket, will have Oct. 3, 2023 charges of assault & battery with a dangerous weapon (four counts) and one charge of assault & battery dismissed after the alleged victim in the case declined to cooperate with prosecutors.
Rosalie Lopez, 29, of Nantucket, was arraigned on July 23 charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and leaving the scene of property damage. She had not-guilty pleas entered on her behalf and was ordered to return to court Aug. 13 for a pretrial hearing.
Juvencio Luna Perez, 20, of Nantucket will have May 25 charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and negligent operation of a motor vehicle continued without a finding for one year on the condition he complete his probation without a violation and complete a driver alcohol education course. All court fees were remitted.
Charges of possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, failing to wear a seat belt, and a marked lanes violation stemming from the same incident were dismissed.
Thomas C. McDonagh, 30, of Garden City, New York was arraigned on July 24 charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, failing to stop/yield, and a marked lanes violation. He had not-guilty pleas entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court Sept. 16 for a pretrial hearing.
