This week’s Current Court Report includes arraignments and dispositions from the Monday and Tuesday Nantucket District Court sessions.

Vincent Carl Benoit, 20, of Nantucket was arraigned on three January 4th charges of leaving the scene of property damage. He had not-guilty pleas entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court on April 14th for a pretrial hearing. These charges stem from a January incident where Benoit is alleged to have stolen a vehicle and crashed it while driving intoxicated. He was already facing several charges from this incident following a January 7th arraignment.

After completing six months of pretrial probation, Maria De Fatima Da Silva Lima, 46, of Nantucket will have a May 26th, 2024 charge of assault & battery dismissed.

, 28, of Nantucket will have a Nov. 28th, 2024 charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol continued without a finding for one year on the condition he complete one year of probation without a violation, forfeit his license for 45 days, complete a driver alcohol education program, and pay $600 in fees.

Charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop for police, and a marked lanes violation stemming from the same incident were dismissed.

Kevin Eleazar Guevara Alfaro, 36, of Nantucket had a Sept. 1st, 2024 charge of assault & battery on a family/household member dismissed after the alleged victim in the case declined to cooperate with prosecutors.

, 63, of Nantucket will have a Feb. 5th charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol continued without a finding for one year on the condition she forfeit her license for 45 days, complete a driver alcohol education program, pay $600 in fees, and complete her one year of probation without a violation.

Emily E. Mitchell, 34, of Nantucket was arraigned on Dec. 6th, 2024 charges of a crosswalk violation, leaving the scene of personal injury, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. She had not-guilty pleas entered on her behalf and was ordered to return to court June 2nd for a pretrial hearing.
