This week's Current Court Report includes arraignments and dispositions from Monday's Nantucket District Court session – which returned after a three-week hiatus while Nantucket Superior Court was in session.
Vincent Benoit, 19, of Nantucket, was arraigned on May 19 charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, possessing alcohol while under the age of 21, and not wearing a seatbelt. He had not-guilty pleas entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court July 1 for a pretrial hearing.
After being continued without a finding for one year, Russell Burns, 35, of Nantucket had an April 15, 2023 charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol dismissed.
After completing one year of probation and paying $1,100 in restitution, Christopher Collins, 35, of Worcester had the probation he was serving after pleading guilty to Nov. 17, 2020 charges of breaking and entering a building in the daytime for a felony and larceny from a building terminated.
Marcos Gonzalez, 24, of Nantucket, was arraigned on April 28 charges of assault & battery on a family/household member. He had not-guilty pleas entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court June 17 for a pretrial hearing.
Ryan Jepson, 41, of Nantucket, was arraigned on a March 24 charge of defacing property. He had a not-guilty plea entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court May 28 for a pretrial hearing.
Esdras Juarez Castaneda, 24, of Nantucket, was arraigned on a May 4 charge of assault & battery on a family/household member. He had a not-guilty plea entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court June 17 for a pretrial hearing.
Alistair Moss, 30, of Nantucket, was arraigned on May 19 charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Moss not-guilty pleas entered and will have the charges dismissed following the payment of $300 in court costs.
John Mullen, 52, of Brookline, will have an Oct. 9, 2023 charge of malicious destruction of property under $1,200 continued without a finding for one year on the condition he complete his probation without a violation. Charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and disturbing the peace stemming from the same incident were dismissed.
After being continued without a finding for six months, Salvador Garcia Partida, 32, of Nantucket had May 31, 2023 charges of assault & battery and threatening to commit a crime dismissed.
Kedrick Pleasant, 46, of Nantucket was arraigned on an April 26 charge of possessing a Class B drug. He had a not-guilty plea entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court July 1 for a pretrial hearing.
Andrew Schmidt, 19, of Michigan, was arraigned on April 21 charges of assault and battery (two counts) and assault & battery with a dangerous weapon. He was also arraigned on a May 19 charge of possessing alcohol while under the age of 21. He had not-guilty pleas entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court June 10 for a pretrial hearing.
After being continued without a finding for one year, Vykintas Zutautas, 44, of Nantucket had a Feb. 10, 2023 charge of assault & battery dismissed.
