Boston Pops Concert Raises Record $2.6 Million For Nantucket Cottage Hospital

Thousands of people flocked to Jetties Beach on Saturday for the 26th annual Boston Pops on Nantucket concert to benefit Nantucket Cottage Hospital. It was a beautiful night for the hospital's largest annual fundraiser, and the event raised a record $2.6 million for the island medical facility. Conductor Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra played with Tony Award- and Grammy Award-nominated artist Michael Cavanaugh, who performed the music of Elton John. The event featured a flyover by a Navy helicopter, and was capped off by a fireworks display shot off from a barge offshore. Photos below by Charity Grace Mofsen!
