Cisco Beach: A New Dining Hotspot?
Jason Graziadei •
Cisco Beach has long been a popular surfing spot, but this summer it will also be something of a culinary destination.
Not one, not two, but three food trucks received permission from the Land Bank this week to operate at the Cisco Beach parking lot this summer.
Nantaco, Sushi Sean 11:11, and Nantucket Beach Dogs will all be serving up food at the popular south shore location, and beachgoers will have their pick of Latin, Asian and American inspired dishes.
Here’s what we know so far about each operation:
Nantucket Beach Dogs: veterans of Cisco, Roger and Jack Decker have been at it for 10 years at the beach. The small mobile food cart will be selling hot dogs starting at $5, along with drinks, chips and candy. Nantucket Beach Dogs is planning to be operating every fair-weathered day starting May 28th through September 15.
Nantaco: Lee and Cindy Milazzo’s new South Water Street taqueria is not yet open, but they will also be operating several mobile food trailer operations, including one at Cisco. Nantaco is planning to be at the beach daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting, selling tacos starting at one for $6, two for $10, four for $20, and six for $30. It will also be offering breakfast tacos, and sides like fresh tortilla chips with salsa and guacamole.
Sushi Sean 11:11: Chef Sean Durnin is back...on four wheels at Cisco Beach. The Sushi Sean 11:11 food truck will be operating at Cisco six days per week, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The menu will include sushi rolls like the “Cisco Disco” and the “B-ACK to Cali” ranging from $13 to $18, along with appetizers like chilled edamame, sea weed salad, and Korean tuna poke.
