Island Author Jim Sulzer's New Mystery Chosen As "One Book, One Island" Selection
Nantucket Current •
Island author Jim Sulzer's new book "All That Smolders: A Mystery" has been chosen by the Nantucket Atheneum as its official 2026 selection for the community-wide reading program, One Book, One Island (OBOI).

The library described it as "a suspenseful novel written by a Nantucket author and filled with secrets, shadows, and a mystery best unraveled together."
The One Book, One Island program - which is returning after a one-year hiatus - is designed to bring Nantucket residents together through shared reading, conversation, and storytelling — an opportunity for islanders to experience literature as a unified community when everyone reads the same book.
Beginning March 2nd, free copies of "All That Smolders" will be available to the community at the Nantucket Atheneum, the Whaling Museum, and the Inquirer and Mirror.
The Atheneum is planning to host a One Book, One Island celebration on Sunday, March 29th (3 p.m. – 6 p.m.). The event will include a book discussion with Sulzer, moderated by Josh Balling from the Inquirer and Mirror, an interactive trivia contest, and additional activities designed to bring readers together in celebration of the shared read.
