Another novel by Nantucket author Elin Hilderbrand has been picked up to become a television series, and this one will star actress Jennifer Garner.

Hilderbrand's 2023 bestselling novel "The Five-Star Weekend," will become a new Peacock original series starring and produced by the Golden Globe-winning and Emmy-nominated Garner.

"It’s happening!" said Hilderbrand, the Nantucket-based author whose novel "The Perfect Couple" was adapted last year by Netflix into a smash-hit series on the streaming platform. "Jennifer Garner will portray Hollis Shaw in 'The Five-Star Weekend' a limited series coming from Peacock in 2026. I can’t answer any questions about who else, where, or exactly when. We are just getting underway — but this is beyond thrilling, obviously!"

The drama follows Hollis Shaw, a famed food influencer known for her delicious recipes, impeccable taste, and warm demeanor who suffers a devastating loss, according to Peacock's announcement:

"Unable to move forward, the death starts to expose the cracks in Hollis’s picture-perfect life — her strained marriage, her complicated relationship with her daughter, and her growing pursuit of validation from her followers.

"To overcome grief and find herself again, Hollis gets the idea to host a weekend away at her house on Nantucket with three friends from different stages in her life. Set against a luxurious and coastal backdrop, they will mature in ways they could never imagine as boundaries are pushed and secrets are exposed.

"Joining Garner on the creative team are creator, writer, and executive producer Bekah Brunstetter (Maid, This Is Us); writer and executive producer Beth Schacter (Billions); executive producer Sue Naegle (The Day of the Jackal, Pam and Tommy); executive producer Ali Krug (The Staircase, Pam and Tommy); and Hilderbrand, who is an executive producer."
