The 50th Annual Daffodil Festival is this weekend from Thursday, April 23 through Sunday, April 26. The Nantucket Current has gathered all of the scheduled events and put them in one place for our reader's convenience. Thursday, April 23

Bartlett's Farm Spring Workshop

Kick off Spring with a hands-on DIY with the whole family. Join Bartlett's Farm in the Garden Center to craft your very own custom Spring Fling. Register here and come bloom with us! Registration is free – wreaths & hats are priced individually and payable upon arrival. Additional flare is included, bring your own if you have something you love. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Cisco Brewers Live Music

There will be live music at Cisco Brewers courtesy of Atticus Allen from 4-7 p.m.

Own the Floor: A Free Community Dance for Awareness & Empowerment

From 7:30-9:30 p.m. at the Chicken Box, A Safe Place invites you to OWN THE FLOOR, a free community event for awareness and empowerment. This is for adults 21+, filled with an evening of dancing, music, community connection and empowerment. Door prizes will awarded throughout the evening. With OWN THE FLOOR, A Safe Place hopes to share the message that survivors have the right to safety, joy, and self-expression in all spaces, and that safety is a shared responsibility of our community.

50th Nantucket Daffodil Festival: 5th Daffodil Bazaar

Join the Chamber of Commerce for a very special milestone at the 5th Daffodil Bazaar, part of the 50th Nantucket Daffodil Festival. This year, they’re bringing the celebration to the Nantucket Dreamland's Harborview Room from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Step into a bright, festive space filled with local charm, where a curated collection of Chamber member vendors will showcase unique goods, gifts, and treasures perfect for Daffy weekend. From cheerful finds to one-of-a-kind pieces, it’s a must-visit stop to shop local, celebrate spring, and soak in the magic of this golden anniversary year. This is free and open to all attendees. Due to limited space, vendor participation is now by application and approval only. This exclusive opportunity is reserved for Nantucket Chamber members in good standing who do not have a brick-and-mortar presence on island, ensuring a fresh and diverse marketplace experience. Rain or shine event. Artists In The Garden

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Garden at 10 Easy Street, go wander the beautiful 10 Easy Street garden and discover a joyful collection of daffodil-inspired treasures and other beautiful local finds by Island artisans, including Sconset and Beyond, Barrie Prints, handcrafted ceramics, decoupage shells and more. Every purchase gives back: proceeds from the market will support Island non-profits, including Nantucket's animal shelter, Nantucket Island Safe Harbor for Animals (NiSHA).

Alice Walk Daffy Weekend Giveaway

Daffodil Festival Dining At Breeze

From 5-9 p.m. at the Breeze, as the island blooms with vibrant yellow hues, their chef has curated a special menu inspired by the flavors of spring, showcasing fresh, seasonal ingredients and artful presentations. Learn more and make reservations here.

NHA Historical Association Flower Power Party

For its 8th year, Flower Power will kick off the Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce’s 50thAnnual Daffodil Festival weekend and transform the Whaling Museum into a festive spring celebration. Attendees will enjoy a look at new additions to the museum, music and dancing, and hors d’oeuvres. Saturday, April 25th

A Safe Place’s 27th Annual Clothes Line Project

From 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Atheneum, the Clothesline Project is an emotionally moving art display consisting of t-shirts decorated by local survivors of domestic & sexual violence to honor survivors, help with the healing process, & raise awareness to the issues of domestic & sexual violence. Free materials will be available for participants to make their own t-shirts to add to the display if moved to do so.

50th Nantucket Daffodil Festival: 47th Antique Car Show & Parade

Visit town early to view the beauteously bedecked vintage cars line up on Main Street. (Drivers are often garbed in themed costumes) Ribbons awarded in Best Decorated, Most Authentic, People's Choice and Jean MaCausland's Best in Show categories. Vote on your favorites. People's Choice ballots are available outside the Chamber office at Zero Main Street and online. Car staging begins at 9:15 a.m. and the parade starts at 12 p.m. following this route: right on Centre Street, right on Broad Street, right on South Water Street, and back up Main Street. Cars continue left on Orange Street and head out of town, around the rotary and out Milestone Road to 'Sconset. Cars head to the Siasconset Tailgait Picnic and park along the right. All picnics are eligible to win ribbons in Judge's and People's Choice categories. This is a Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce Signature Event.

Grab & Go Bag: Daffodil Crown

From 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Atheneum, this week they are making paper flower crowns. Wear your yellow daffodil crown around while you enjoy the daffodils in bloom.

Daffodil Festival Hat Pageant

From 10-11 a.m. at the Children's Beach Band Stand, show off your creativity with a festively decorated, daffodil-themed hat (Elegant or goofy? It’s all fabulous fun.) and join the Pageant. Open to men, women, and children. Ribbons awarded in adult and youth categories.
As an open to the day’s festivities, you don’t want to miss it. This is a Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce Signature Event.

Book Signing With Nancy Thayer

From 10:30-11:30 a.m., meet Nancy Thayer, the author of Summer Light on Nantucket and other novels at Mitchell’s Book Corner. The first 50 readers will receive a free gift from Nancy Thayer.

Daffodil Festival Children’s Bike Parade

From 10:35-11 a.m. at the Children's Beach Band Stand, fun for children of all ages and their families. Decorate your bicycle, wagon, skateboard, baby carriage or other self-propelled vehicles with a Daffodil theme, or simply come decked out in your best Daffy gear. Ribbons awarded to all participants. Children under 10 should be accompanied by an adult, and all children on bicycles must wear a helmet. This is a Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce Signature Event.

A Daffy Good Time With NanPuppets

Beginning at 11 a.m., join the fun at Children’s Beach for a lively community puppet show with NanPuppets – a beloved island tradition that’s equal parts heartwarming and hilarious. Led by the one and only Lizza Obremski, this whimsical performance features her cast of puppet pals who are as sweet as they are sassy, bursting with personality and charm. From curious creatures to cheeky characters, the Nanpuppets crew will have kids giggling and grown-ups grinning with their clever antics, playful songs, and unexpected wisdom. It’s interactive, imaginative, and delightfully Nantucket – the kind of fun that brings the whole community together. Bring a blanket, pack a snack, and get ready to laugh out loud – because Nanpuppets never disappoint.

Daffodil Magic With Magic Mark

Beginning at 11:45 a.m., get ready to be amazed at Children’s Beach with a magical performance by Magic Mark – the island’s favorite magician who knows just how to keep kids wide-eyed and laughing. His show is interactive, playful, and full of surprises, where the audience becomes part of the magic. Whether he’s pulling off jaw-dropping tricks or inviting little helpers on stage, Magic Mark’s warm energy and quick wit make every moment unforgettable. It’s not just a show – it’s an experience filled with wonder, giggles, and plenty of “how did he do that?!” moments. Come early, grab a seat, and let Magic Mark sprinkle a little enchantment on your day.

NiSHA's Annual Daffy Dog Parade at Children's Beach

From 12:30-1:30 p.m., you don't want to miss the cutest event of the weekend. Look for our registration tables at the Corner of Main and Federal streets from 10-11:30 a.m. and Children's Beach lawn from 10:30-11:45 a.m. A donation of $20 (or more) is suggested to register your dog for the parade. Pay by card or cash. All friendly and leashed dogs are welcome to participate, daffy costumes and decorations strongly encouraged. Staging for the parade starts at 12:30 p.m., be sure to be at Children's Beach before that to get in line. Prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place, must be registered to win. From 2-5 p.m., The Nantucket Garden Club Annual Daffodil Flower Show will take place with daffodil flower entries, floral arrangements and photography entries at the Nantucket Inn, 1 Miller Lane. Complete show entry information and schedule here.
