Nantucket Cottage Hospital Welcomes First Baby Of 2025

Meet Nantucket’s New Year’s Baby!

Liam Ezequiel Martinez Lopez was the first baby born on the island in 2025, arriving at Nantucket Cottage Hospital on January 2 at 8:04 a.m.

He is the son of proud parents Aminta Lopez de Martinez and Luis Martinez, and weighed in at 7 pounds 4 ounces with a length of 19.5 inches.

Congrats to the family and wonderful job, as always, to the Birthplace staff at Nantucket Cottage Hospital.
