The island’s first baby born in 2026 arrived at Nantucket Cottage Hospital on Jan. 11, 2026, at 6:27 a.m., NCH announced today.
Franklin Jay Ashelford was born weighing 7 lbs., 10 oz to proud parents Katie Miller and Christian Ashelford. Franklin joins siblings, Molly Miller and Elliott Miller.
