Nantucket Current •
Ochand "Chad Pierre" Lee, a familiar face on Straight Wharf and around the island, has been named Hy-Line Cruise's Nantucket ticket office manger, one of several promotions the boat line announced this week.
Lee, who is originally from Jamaica and has lived on Nantucket year-round since 2004, got his start on the island working for Nantucket Island Resorts, and has been a Hy-Line employee for more than 16 years. He's also a well-known photographer around the island, and his images of celebrities enjoying Nantucket, including New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman with supermodel Adriana Lima, Kourtney Kardashian, and President Joe Biden, were picked up by TMZ, the Boston Herald and other outlets.
The other promotions announced this week by Hy-Line include:
- Emmalesa Blair to Nantucket dock supervisor
- Sheldon Hislop to Nantucket senior dock staff
- Christopher Carley to ship to shore supervisor
“We are excited for the opportunity
to promote Ochand Lee, Emmalesa Blair, and Sheldon Hislop and to welcome Chris Carley to our
Hy-Line family," said Liz Holland, Hy-Line's Nantucket operations manager. "As business has grown, we found the need for more layers of management on
Nantucket and are proud to be able to promote from within. We look forward to the upcoming
season continuing our commitment to customer service and ease of travel.”
Hy-Line Cruises, founded in 1962, currently employs approximately 120 people year- round. In the high season, the company's total employment can reach 350 individuals.
