Petrichor Wine Bar Will Close By The End Of The Year

Petrichor Wine Bar, the year-round restaurant on Pleasant Street, will close down by the end of the year. 

The news was announced Monday morning by the town's licensing administrator Amy Baxter during a license renewal hearing. Baxter told the Select Board that Petrichor had notified the town regarding the closure and that the restaurant would not be renewing its liquor license. 

Founded in 2019 by sommelier Jill Hollen Viselli, Petrichor opened in the spot that has hosted a number of restaurants over the years, including Atlas, Pazzo, and Sfoglia. 

The wine bar and restaurant is closed for private parties today through Friday, and will reopen Saturday at 5 p.m. Viselli did not respond to messages seeking comment.
