Photo Gallery: Nantucket Memorial Day Parade

“All gave some, but some gave all.” Nantucket gathered for the island’s annual Memorial Day parade on Sunday to pay respect to all those who gave their lives serving our country. The parade, held the day before Memorial Day due to the logistics of getting the Highland Light Band to the island, featured a firing detail by the Nantucket Honor Guard, along with representation from the Nantucket Police and Fire Departments, U.S. Coast Guard Station Brant Point, the island's Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops, the VFW and the American Legion.
In the gallery below, photographer Kit Noble captured the parade scenes downtown while photographer Charity Grace Mofsen got the images from the service at the Prospect Hill Cemetery.
