Photo Gallery: NHA's Wampanoag Day

The Nantucket Historical Association held its Wampanoag Day at Children’s Beach Thursday morning into the afternoon.

Kids and anyone else in attendance had the opportunity to make traditional crafts and toys with Wampanoag artisans, examine tools and objects that were used in daily Wampanoag life, experience paddle rides on a mishoon (dug-out canoe), and participate in immersive cultural song and dance performances.

From 2:30-3:30 p.m., there was a musical performance.
