Photo Gallery: St. Mary's Living Stations Of The Cross
Nantucket Current •
On Good Friday, hundreds of Nantucket’s Spanish-speaking Catholics from St. Mary Our Lady of the Isle gathered at the St. Mary’s cemetery for the Living Stations of the Cross procession.
The reenactment returned last year following a two year absence due to the pandemic. It is performed by members of the St. Mary’s congregation and depicts Jesus on the day of his crucifixion.
Father John Murray was once again present to lead the faithful.
Nantucket Current photographer-at-large Kit Noble was in attendance and took photos throughout the course of the late afternoon/early evening reenactment.
