Sankaty Head Lighthouse Restoration Work Underway
Jason Graziadei •
The Sankaty Head Lighthouse is getting a touch-up.
Crews from Finkle Preservation & Construction have been performing restoration work on the iconic lighthouse in Sconset in recent weeks. The work includes resealing the lantern room glass, masonry repairs, metalwork, and - as seen in this photo - repainting the exterior.
The work is being funded through a grant from the Community Preservation Committee to the Sconset Trust, which owns and maintains the lighthouse.
