Seven Red Ticket Drawing Winners Chosen On Christmas Eve

Hundreds of island residents gathered on Main Street Tuesday afternoon for the annual Christmas Eve Red Ticket Drawing. Seven of them walked away with big checks.
The Nantucket Chamber Of Commerce’s annual drawing was held at 1pm Tuesday - a few hours earlier than previous years - as islanders gathered on the cobblestones holding approximately 400,000 red tickets representing nearly $10 million in sales at local businesses hoping to win one of six $1,000 prizes, as well as the $5,000 grand prize.
The winners, along with the businesses where they received the winning ticket, are as follows:

- Jim Chapman, $5,000, Murray’s Toggery Shop
