Stop & Shop To Host Vaccine Clinic This Week

Stop and Shop will host its second annual seasonal vaccine clinic at its 31 Sparks Avenue location this week, Tuesday, September 22nd, and Wednesday, September 23rd.

Last year, the clinic hosted at the mid-island Stop and Shop provided around 400 vaccines to roughly 250 islanders ranging in age from 10 to 90.

“The clinic was well received by the residents as a convenient on-island chance to get protected,” Stop and Shop pharmacy operations manager David Dunn said. “This was our first time coming to the island to support the public health needs of this truly special place. We are looking forward to protecting more folks.”

The clinic will provide flu, COVID-19, and pneumonia vaccines. Licensed Stop and Shop pharmacists will be set up under a tent in the store’s parking lot to welcome patients and administer the vaccines. The Stop & Shop community truck will also be on site offering refreshments and snacks. The clinic will accept both walk-up and scheduled appointments.
