To the editor:  For 26 years, the Nantucket Wine & Food Festival has been a cherished celebration of culinary excellence and our island's spirit. Now, this beloved institution faces an unprecedented challenge that threatens its future as a woman-owned business and a quarter-century of tradition.

As someone who has been part of this festival for decades, I've watched it grow from humble beginnings to a world-renowned event. The festival's resilience was particularly evident in its triumphant return after the pandemic, coming back stronger and more vibrant than ever under Nancy Bean's leadership.

Nancy, a true Nantucketer, has dedicated herself to this festival, making it a beacon of inclusivity and empowerment in our industry. Her commitment to supporting women – from chefs to winemakers, artisans to business owners – has been unwavering.

The Nantucket Wine & Food Festival is more than an event – it's a testament to Nancy's life's work and our island's spirit. We stand united in our support for Nancy and this incredible festival she has nurtured for so many years.

Sincerely,

Lydia Shire, Patricia Estorino, Elizabeth Falkner, Maura Kilpatrick, Erin Miller, Cassie Piuma, Susan Regis, and Jen Ziskin
