Current Voices: Elin Hilderbrand Book Signing Line

Every Wednesday during the summer on Nantucket, Mitchell’s Book Corner has over 100 people line up in the morning to patiently wait for their opportunity to meet island author Elin Hilderbrand for her weekly book signing. We stopped by one of her book signings at the tail end of summer to ask her fans where they’re from, why they’re waiting in the line, and what they love about Hilderbrand’s writing.

At the end of the book signing Hilderbrand, whose novel The Perfect Couple recently debuted on Netflix as a mini-series and is trending as the most watched TV series on the platform, took some time to chat with the Current. 

We asked her whether these book signings ever get old and what her message to her fans across the country who read her books and wait in these long summer lines is.
