Human Nature Never Changes

To the editor: The wind farms are an abomination. And unnecessary. Why? Nuclear could supply it. But the far-left zealots don't like nuclear. It impedes their desire for control over the people through social engineering. So you have pushback from green companies causing ecological and aesthetic disruption all in the name of profit and self-proclaimed moral superiority.

And National Grid doesn't help the lights out crowd because they aren't culpable. Who is? What happened? Billions in profits but you can't help customers survive after a freak event? Apparently not.

People love to talk about caring and being good community citizens, but when their bottom line is threatened...they run.

Nantucket is now an outdoor, gated community with a cute mall called Main Street. The time to really save the soul of the island and middle class was 30 years ago. Soon, you won't even be able to cry over it while nursing a beer at Pudley's Pub.
