Mother Of Baxter Waldman Thanks Community After Charity Motorcycle Ride

To the editor: I would like to thank everyone who came out and helped make the Baxter Waldman Scholarship Fundraiser a success. Thank you to all the motorcycle riders who joined me in a beautiful tribute to a life lost too soon.

Thank you to the owners of Snick Snack, Sushi Sean, Noemi’s Dumplings and Eat Fire Pizza for serving up delicious food. Thank you, Scott Capizzo, for spinning great tunes. Thank you, Pastor Derek Worthington of the Summer Street Church, for giving the Blessing of the Bikes.

I want to thank the members of the Nantucket Police Department who came out to support the charity motorcycle ride. A special thank you to Sandy, Dave, and Baxter’s Patty from the Nantucket Health Club for your help and for selling Baxter 81 t-shirts to raise money for the fund.

Thank you to the high school students who volunteered their time. Thank you to everyone who donated items to the raffle. Thank you to Sign Here for the awesome banner. And thank you to the weather for cooperating.

It was heartwarming to see such an outpouring of support for the scholarship fund. If you missed the event and would like to contribute donations can be made directly at the Nantucket Community Foundation website. I look forward to seeing you all next year when we do this again.
