Nantucket Needs To Limit The Noise

To the editor: My wife Kathy and I own a cottage in Sconset and spend the entire season each year since 2003. We recently completed three years of living with construction noise as two cottages, within 60 feet of our home, underwent complete restorations. I am referring to relentless construction, day and night, including weekends and holidays.
These projects are now completed.
However, between hedge trimming, lawn mowing, and particularly leaf blowing, the din seems to never end. No respite even on Sunday mornings. I am suggesting that you please do what you can to limit the noise.
