To the editor: On behalf of Meri Lepore, Abby Camp, Anne Dewez, Leslie Forbes, Kit Murphy, Cathy Ward, Charity Benz, and many others, “Nantucket Neighborhoods First” wants to thank the almost 900 citizen voters who came to Special Town Meeting. You participated and voted on matters like short-term rentals, historical preservation, and zoning that affect our community and its future. You came, you listened, and you spoke for what you think is best for this island. We heard you.
Please mark your calendars for Annual Town Meeting, tentatively scheduled for May 3, 2025.
We look forward to seeing everyone as we all continue to work to protect our residential neighborhoods while safeguarding Nantucket’s economy, environment, and its special place in the world.
