To the editor: The Nantucket VFW Post 8608 and the Bryon L. Sylvaro American Legion Post 82, and the Nantucket Honor Guard would like to thank the following volunteers and participants that helped ensure our veterans were remembered and honored for their ultimate sacrifice while serving in our military.

  • Brian and Kathy Legg for many hours surveying all cemeteries to ensure all veteran graves were properly marked.
  • Tommy Coffin for making sure our flag etiquette is being held to the highest standard.
  • Brandon Beal, Jana Duarte, Lisa Holdgate, Pat Nolan, Jim Patterson, Eric Patterson, Callie Pearce, Ray Sylvia, Jr., marker and flag placement, hole drilling for geranium planting.
