NAREB Names Lara Hanson "Volunteer of the Year"

The Nantucket Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB) announced this week that Lara Hanson has been named the 2024 NAREB Volunteer of the Year.

"As an 8th-generation Nantucketer, Lara has deep roots on the island," NAREB stated in its announcement. "She has a love for nature and the tenaciously caring community that exists here. Lara, a broker with Fisher Real Estate, received many, many nominations from the real estate community in recognition of her work with, among other things, PASCON, on the Education and Listing Service Oversight Committees of NAREB, the Swim Across America, and the Triathlon. She has also volunteered to paint homes for Habitat for Humanity."

From a colleague, “She volunteers every year at Swim Across America (she woke up at 3 a.m. this year to volunteer before she had to do her rental check-ins) and she is also the leader for our office to volunteer at the Nantucket Half Marathon and the Litter Derby."

Along with this recognition is an honorarium that will go to the Nantucket non-profit of Lara’s choice.
