David Robert Wiley, 67, passed away unexpectedly on November 25, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and wholehearted living. Born on March 4, 1958, in Florida to Robert and Elaine Cowles Wiley, David spent his childhood in Rutherford, NJ, and Nantucket, MA, places that shaped his love for the ocean, community, and adventure. He later made his home in the White Mountains, where he flourished and contributed deeply to the life of the Bethlehem community.

Dave lived fully, loved deeply, and believed fiercely in people, in community, and in possibility. His life was a testament to courage, kindness, and service.

A graduate of the Wentworth Institute of Technology, Dave built a lifelong career as a successful architect with a dedication towards historic preservation. Dave was deeply involved in the communities he called home, both Nantucket and Bethlehem, always going above and beyond. He gave of his time generously, participating in volunteer roles, contributing to local organizations, and supporting those around him.

Dave loved spending time outdoors, you could often find him sailing, camping, hiking, and skiing with the ones he loved. He poured his heart into his apple orchard, clearing and improving his acres piece by piece for his family to enjoy. Dave was always happiest behind the wheel of his tractors or excavator. In his later years, pickleball captured his heart, bringing him new friendships, laughter, and camaraderie.

Dave is survived by his beloved soulmate and best friend, Donna Jeanne, with whom he shared countless memories, dreams, and adventures. He also leaves behind five loving children: Meghan; Micajah and her husband, Mike; Caleb and his wife, Claire; Alexandra and her husband, Joe; and Christian and his wife, Cindy, as well as fifteen treasured grandchildren. Dave is also survived by his sister, Katherine Pritchard, and her husband, Rob.

A man of profound compassion and unwavering generosity, Dave would do anything for anyone. He believed in people, supported their dreams, planned boldly, and acted with purpose. Known as a planner, doer, fixer, and dreamer, Dave approached life with boundless curiosity and an unmatched work ethic.

Dave will be remembered as a true patriot, a steadfast friend, and a man who loved life and his family more than anything. His absence leaves an immeasurable void, but the example of his life will continue to inspire all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on December 12, 2025, at All Saints Episcopal Church, 35 School Street, Littleton, NH. A reception will follow at Rek-Lis Pint House in Bethlehem, NH.
