Girls And Boys Swim Teams Compete In State Meets This Weekend

This weekend, the Nantucket girls and boys swim teams will conclude their season with their respective state meets. The Whalers will be sending seven swimmers (five girls and two boys) up to the pools at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) campus, where the state meets will be taking place this year.
Below are the following swimmers who will be representing Nantucket, what event(s) they will be competing in, and their best times this season in each of these events they are competing in.
GIRLS: Saturday, February 18 @ 9 a.m.
Sara Dussault (Freshman) - 100 yard breaststroke (best time: 1:12.74)
Hannah Gerardi (Junior) - 200 yard individual medley (best time: 2:23.84) and the 100 yard breaststroke (best time: 1:12.01).
Myah Johnson (Freshman) - 50 yard freestyle (best time: 25.34) and the 100 yard freestyle (best time: 56.77).
Martina Savova (Sophomore) - 100 yard butterfly (best time: 1:04.83).
Sara Dussault; Hannah Gerardi; Martina Savova; and Myah Johnson - 200 yard medley relay (best time: 1:57.03)
Hannah Gerardi; Hannah Harrington (Junior); Sara Dussault; and Myah Johnson - 400 yard freestyle relay (best time: 4:01.39).
BOYS: Sunday, February 19 @ 9 a.m.
Jake Johnson (sophomore) - 50 yard freestyle (best time: 22.56) and the 100 yard freestyle (best time: 49.78).
Justin Roethke (senior) - 100 yard butterfly (best time: 54.38) and the 100 yard backstroke (best time: 56.21)
