Court Report - April 9, 2024

This week's Current Court Report includes arraignments and dispositions from Monday's Nantucket District Court session.

Manuel Chacon, 52, of Nantucket was arraigned on April 6 charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol (third offense), negligent operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle while possessing an open container of alcohol, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, failure to stop for police, speeding, and a marked lanes violation. He had not-guilty pleas entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court April 22 for a pretrial hearing.

Ricardo Antones Garcia De Souza, 32, of Nantucket had a guilty filing entered on a Feb. 1 charge of disorderly conduct and had a resisting arrest charge stemming from the same incident dismissed.

De Souza was also arraigned on one Feb. 5 charge and two Feb. 6 charges of violating an abuse prevention order. He had not-guilty pleas entered on his behalf, had bail set at $500, was ordered to return to court May 20 for a pretrial hearing.

Leydy L. Pena Reyes, 30, of Nantucket was arraigned on an April 7 charge of assault & battery on a family/household member. She had not-guilty pleas entered on her behalf and was ordered to return to court June 10 for a pretrial hearing.
