Current Court Report - April 8, 2025

This week’s Current Court Report includes arraignments and dispositions from Monday’s Nantucket District Court session.

Gabriel J. Bouchard, 21, of Nantucket will have a July 13^th, 2024 charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle continued without a finding for six months on the condition he complete his probation without a violation and pay $500 in fees.

Charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, failure to stop for police, a motor vehicle lights violation, and resisting arrest stemming from the same incident were dismissed.

Rosalie Lopez, 29, of Nantucket will have July 23^rd, 2024 charges of leaving the scene of property damage and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol continued without a finding for one year on the condition she forfeit her license for 45 days, complete a driver alcohol education program, and pay $600 in fees.

A charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle stemming from the same incident was dismissed.

After completing six months of probation on a guilty plea to a July 18^th, 2023 charge of trespassing, Manuel Omar Portillo Rivera, 27, of Nantucket had the probation terminated.

Daniel Rax Tziu, 39, of Nantucket will have two Oct. 8^th, 2023 charges of assault & battery on a dangerous weapon dismissed on the condition he complete six months of pretrial probation.

After being continued without a finding for one year, Derek Varney, 37, of Nantucket had Aug. 26^th, 2022 charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of property damage dismissed.
