This week’s Current Court Report includes arraignments and dispositions from the Monday and Tuesday Nantucket District Court sessions.
Cassandra Marie Bustos, 34, of Nantucket, will have an April 20 charge of assault and battery (amended down from assault & battery on a family/household member) continued without a finding for 18 months on the condition she complete her probation without a violation.
James A. Egan, 36, of Nantucket, had the probation he was serving following guilty pleas on a March 29, 2022 charge of assault & battery on a family/household member and two May 14, 2022 charges of violating an abuse prevention order terminated after one year.
Patrick William Gardner, 35, of Nantucket, pleaded guilty to Feb. 21 charges of larceny under $1,200 and possessing a class B drug (subsequent offense), identity fraud, and a Feb. 22 charge of possessing a class B drug (subsequent offense). He was ordered to complete one year of probation on the three charges and a balance of one year in the Barnstable House of Correction suspended for two years on the condition he complete the two-year probation period without a violation.
Charges of shoplifting by concealing merchandise, possessing a class B drug (subsequent offense), and receiving stolen property under $1,200 (subsequent offense) stemming from these incidents were dismissed.

Sean Patrick Kearns, 27, of Nantucket, was arraigned on July 17 charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and a marked lanes violation. He had not-guilty pleas entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court Aug. 19 for a pretrial hearing.
Angel Gabriel Deras Mejia, 30, of Nantucket, was arraigned on July 21 charges of assault & battery on a family/household member and disorderly conduct. He had not-guilty pleas entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court Sept. 3 for a pretrial hearing.
Michael Thomas McInerney, 30, of Nantucket, will have Jan. 6 charges of assault & battery on a 60+ year old (two counts) and malicious destruction of property over $1,200 continued without a finding for eight months on the condition he comply with his probation and all treatment requirements. A charge of assault & battery on a person over 60 years old stemming from the same incident was dismissed.
McInerney will also have Jan. 7 charges of assault with a dangerous weapon (two counts) and malicious destruction of property over $1,200 (two counts) continued without a finding for eight months on the condition he complete his probation without a violation and complete all requirements bestowed on him by the court.
Charges of malicious destruction of property over $1,200 (five counts) and disorderly conduct (two counts) stemming from the same incident were dismissed.

Gregory M. Moore, 62, of Nantucket, pleaded guilty to Nov. 15, 2023 charges of fish/wildlife – hunting/fishing violation, possessing a firearm without an FID card, and hunting/fishing in closed season. He was ordered to complete one year of probation, surrender all of his hunting and fishing permits for one year, surrender all firearms, and relinquish any items seized by the environmental police.
Charges of fish/wildlife – hunting/fishing violation (five counts), possessing ammunition without an FID card, deer tagging violation (six counts), and hunting/fishing in closed season (three counts) stemming from the same incident were dismissed.

Inga Cernyte Rascius, 42, of Nantucket, was arraigned on a June 20 charge of using a motor vehicle without authority. She had a not-guilty plea entered on her behalf and was ordered to return to court Sept. 3 for a pretrial hearing.
Natalia Shurigina-Orlando, 52, of Nantucket, was arraigned on a May 6 charge of malicious damage to a motor vehicle. She had a not-guilty plea entered on her behalf and was ordered to return to court Sept. 3 for a pretrial hearing.
