This week’s Current Court Report includes arraignments and dispositions from Monday’s Nantucket District Court session.
Robert Gordon Ackerman, 52, of South Port, Connecticut, was arraigned on June 15 charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and a marked lanes violation. He had not-guilty pleas entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court July 8 for a pretrial hearing.
Christian J. Clifford, 38, of Boston, was arraigned on June 10 charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and improper operation of a motor vehicle. He had not-guilty pleas entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court July 8 for a pretrial hearing.
Ludwin Flores Benitez, 38, of Nantucket, was arraigned on June 14 charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and a marked lanes violation. He had not-guilty pleas entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court July 15 for a pretrial hearing.
Sergio Jimenez Orozco, 41, of West Palm Beach, Florida, was will have June 22, 2023 charges of reckless operation of a motor vehicle and a passing violation dismissed on the condition he complete six months of pretrial probation.
Josue S. Melgar Paz, 34, of Nantucket was arraigned on April 2 charges of using a motor vehicle without authority, leaving the scene of property damage, and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. He had not-guilty pleas entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court July 15 for a pretrial hearing.
Ingrida Cernyte Rascius, 42, of Nantucket, was arraigned on June 14 charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, and failure to wear a seat belt. She had not-guilty pleas entered on her behalf and was ordered to return to court July 22 for a pretrial hearing.
Jonathan Renz, 61, of Greenwich, Connecticut, was arraigned on June 13 charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, and speeding. He had not-guilty pleas entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court July 8 for a pretrial hearing.
Samuel Rice, 24, of Nantucket, will have a Feb. 5 charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol continued without a finding for one year on the condition he complete his probation without a violation and pay all court fees assessed by the court. A charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle stemming from the same incident was dismissed and he was found not responsible for a lights violation.
Jason Scott Richard, 51, of Nantucket, pleaded guilty to Jan. 9 charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and leaving the scene of property damage. He was sentenced to 90 days in the Barnstable House of Corrections on the OUI charge, but that sentence will be suspended for two years on the condition he complete his probation without a violation. He was ordered to complete two years of probation concurrently on the property damage charge.
A charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle stemming from the same incident was dismissed and he was found not responsible on charges of leaving the scene of property damage and a marked lanes violation.
Josicleide Vleira da Rocha, 44, of Nantucket, was arraigned on May 26 charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and a marked lanes violation. She had not-guilty pleas entered on her behalf and was ordered to return to court July 15 for a pretrial hearing.
Leovardo Geremias Benitez Tejada, 25, of Nantucket, will have a Feb. 6 charge of using a motor vehicle without authority continued without a finding for six months on the condition he complete his probation without a violation. A charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license stemming from the same incident was dismissed.
Ryan Williams, 40, of Nantucket, was arraigned on June 8 charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and a marked lanes violation. He had not-guilty pleas entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court July 8 for a pretrial hearing.
