This week’s Current Court Report includes arraignments and dispositions from Monday’s Nantucket District Court session.

Henry Huyser
, 43, of Nantucket was arraigned on two Jan. 5th charges of rape. He had not-guilty pleas entered on his behalf. Huyser was released on his personal recognizance after the Cape & Island’s district attorney did not request bail but was asked to stay away and have no contact with the alleged victim in the case. He was ordered to return to court May 19th for a probable cause hearing. You can read the full story here.

In other Nantucket District Court news, Pernell E. Bramwell, 54, of Nantucket had an April 8th, 2009 charge of distributing obscene matter dismissed at the request of the commonwealth after Bramwell was removed from the United States.

Jose Antonio Juarez Castaneda
, 27, of Nantucket will have Sept. 22nd, 2024 charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and negligent operation of a motor vehicle continued without a finding for 18 months on the condition he complete a driver alcohol education program, forfeit his license for 45 days, pay $600 in fees, and complete the probation without a violation. He was found responsible on two charges of operating a motor vehicle with a child under the age of 8 or under 58 inches without a car seat stemming from the same incident. Two charges of child endangerment while operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and a marked lanes violation were dismissed.

On a separate case, Castaneda will have March 4th charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and negligent operation of a motor vehicle continued without a finding for 18 months as well. He was found responsible on a charge of possessing an open container of alcohol. He was found not responsible on charges of a lights violation, marked lanes violation, and failure to stop/yield.

Alexandra W. Bankart
, 34, of Nantucket was arraigned on March 22ndcharges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of property damage, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. She had not-guilty pleas entered on her behalf and was ordered to return to court May 19th for a pretrial hearing.

Francis Muise
, 59, of Nantucket was arraigned on a March 20th charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He had not-guilty pleas entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court May 19th for a pretrial hearing.
