This week’s Current Court Report includes arraignments and dispositions from the Monday and Tuesday Nantucket District Court sessions. This week is jury week in the District Court, so cases will be on the docket through Friday.

Julian Contreras Zabala
, 42, of Nantucket was found guilty by Judge James Sullivan following a bench trial on a December 10th, 2024 charge of possessing a Class B drug with the intent to distribute. He was given a two-year prison sentence in the House of Corrections, however the balance will be suspended and he will not be required to serve any jail time on the condition he complete two years of probation without any violations. Zabala will also be required to submit a DNA sample to the state.

Anthony Trey Holland
, 33, of Nantucket was arraigned on a December 23rd, 2025 charge of assault & battery. He had a not-guilty plea entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court May 26th for a pretrial hearing.

Robert A. Holmes
, 33, of Nantucket was arraigned on December 22nd, 2025 charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, speeding, and possessing an open container of alcohol while in a motor vehicle. He had a not-guilty plea entered on his behalf and was ordered to return to court April 21st for a pretrial hearing.

Brando Vladimir Landaverde Nunez
, 27, of Nantucket will have a September 27th, 2025 charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol continued without a finding for one year on the condition he complete his probation without a violation, forfeit his license for 45 days, complete a driver alcohol education course, and pay $600 in fees.

Charges of a lights violation and negligent operation of a motor vehicle stemming from the same incident were dismissed.

Margaux F. Ribka
, 22, of Nantucket will have a September 19th, 2025 charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol continued without a finding for one year on the condition she complete her probation without a violation, forfeit her license for 45 days, complete a driver alcohol education program, and pay $600 in fees.

Charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, and possessing an open container of alcohol while in a motor vehicle stemming from the same incident dismissed.
