This week’s Current Court Report includes arraignments and dispositions from the Monday and Tuesday Nantucket District Court sessions. It is led by an island resident agreeing to a plea deal on Tuesday in the aftermath of a break-in at one of Nantucket’s most historic residences last summer.

Bradford R. Grant, 48, of Nantucket will have two July 4, 2023 charges of breaking & entering a building in the nighttime with the intent to commit a felony (first charge amended down from unarmed burglary) continued without a finding for three years on the condition he complete his probation without any violations, remain drug and alcohol free while complying with random testing, stay away and have no contact with the property where the incident occurred and the alleged victims, and pay a $90 victim-witness fee.

Charges of defacing property and trespassing stemming from the same incident were dismissed. Grant was involved in the break-in of an historic home on Pleasant Street, which you can read more about here.

Robert E. Foster, 55, of Nantucket had a July 6 charge of assault & battery on a family/household member dismissed after the alleged victim in the case declined to cooperate with prosecutors.

Shannia A. Fowler, 23, of Nantucket had April 6 charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle dismissed.

Galisa M. Francis, 35, of Nantucket will have Aug. 4 charges of leaving the scene of property damage and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license continued without a finding for six months on the condition she pay $250 in court costs and a $50 victim witness fee while completing her probation without a violation.

Charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and negligent operation of a motor vehicle stemming from the same incident were dismissed.

Dylan Ingram, 24, of Nantucket will have Aug. 13, 2023 charges of leaving the scene of property damage and a license plate violation dismissed on the condition he pay $200 in court costs.

Ryan C. Jepson, 42, of Nantucket will have a March 24 charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol continued without a finding for one year on the condition he forfeit his license for 45 days, complete a driver alcohol education program, and pay $600 in fees.

Charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle and defacing property stemming from the same incident were dismissed.

In the aftermath of a Sept. 2 incident, Jepson will have a charge of assault & battery on a police officer continued without a finding for one year and was ordered to pay a $50 victim-witness fee. Charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest stemming from the same incident were dismissed.

Kerry Ann Lynch, 43, of Nantucket was arraigned on an Oct. 25 charge of assault & battery on a family/household member. She had a not-guilty plea entered on her behalf and was ordered to return to court Dec. 30 for a pretrial hearing.

After completing two years of probation, Suzanne B. O’Toole, 69, of Nantucket had her probation terminated she was serving on an Oct. 4, 2022 charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol (second offense).

Ryan Williams, 40, of Nantucket will have a June 8 charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol continued without a finding for one year on the condition he forfeit his license for 45 days, complete a driver alcohol education program, and pay $600 in fees.

Charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation stemming from the same incident were dismissed.
