An indictment was returned on November 25th in Nantucket Superior Court on one charge of rape against an island resident who is alleged to have raped a female victim at his home in June 2024.
Henry Huyser, 44, of Nantucket will be arraigned in Nantucket Superior Court on one charge of rape on January 25th, 2026.
According to the police report, the alleged victim went to Huyser’s home on June 9th, 2024 in the late afternoon. They allegedly began “fooling around” before the victim eventually told Huyser she “didn’t want to go all the way.” Huyser allegedly initiated multiple sex acts which prompted the victim to push his arm away multiple times. The alleged victim then told investigators that Huyser had sex with her against her will and that she “froze and was unable to move." The report states that Huyser then "observed her face and got off from on top of her."
An investigation was initiated on January 6, 2025, after receiving a "report of a past sexual assault from the victim," and interviewed the woman on February 28, 2025, about the incident.
The Current submitted a request for Huyser's booking photo, however Lieutenant Angus MacVicar said because Huyser was not arrested in this case but summonsed to court, they do not have a booking photo.
