It's been a long time coming, but the new restaurant and bar “The Dive” at 15 South Water Street is finally open for business.

The former location of Cy’s, the Atlantic Cafe, the Sea Dog Brew Pub, Nix’s, and most recently The Charlie Noble, has been shuttered since the fall of 2024.

The “Sneaky Good Hospitality Group,” of Boston, has partnered with Nantucket restaurateur Denise Corson (who owns B-ACK Yard BBQ on Straight Wharf) to reopen 15 South Water Street as The Dive.

After an extensive renovation over the past year-plus, which includes a revival of the U-shaped bar at the front of the house and the addition of a new “back bar” area toward the Easy Street side, the restaurant held a soft opening on Monday and opened to the public tonight.

At the outset, Corson said The Dive would be open daily from 5 or 6 pm to 1 am, with plans to add lunch hours as soon as possible.

The property is owned by Steve Karp’s Nantucket Island Resorts.
