Temperatures have plummeted, sending the island into a deep freeze not seen in at least a decade or longer.
The harbors and ponds have frozen over, and the snow that blanketed Nantucket a week ago hasn't melted a drop. Photographer-at-large Kit Noble has been out to document the winter wonderland on land, by air, and even a few chilly trips into the harbor ice.
