Flower Crown Party At The Nantucket Dreamland

4th Annual Daffodil Bazaar

The Nantucket Chamber of Commerce will host their 4th Annual Daffodil Bazaar on Friday, April 25th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Nantucket Preservation Trust's Sherburne Hall at 11 Centre Street. The event serves as a kick-off to the Daffodil Festival weekend featuring shopping with unique offerings from several chamber member businesses. The chamber transforms Sherburne Hall into a "Daffodil shopping extravaganza," complete with talented vendors and festive music. Enjoy a diverse market of small businesses and non-profits, from photography to jewelry, apparel to memorabilia.
AAN Hosting Welcome Home Reception At New Gallery Space

The Artists Association of Nantucket (AAN) is inviting members of the community to enjoy their Welcome Home Reception to commemorate their new Federal Gallery, which is located at 8 Federal Street.
The reception will take place on Friday, April 25 from 5 - 7 p.m., and the ceremony will kick off with a ribbon cutting at 4:30 p.m., followed by refreshments and light bites by Eight Arms Catering.
Flower Power Party With NHA

On Friday, April 25th, Flower Power will kick off the Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce’s 49th Annual Daffodil Festival and transform the Whaling Museum located at 13 Broad Street into a festive spring celebration from 6-8 p.m. Attendees will enjoy a look at new additions to the museum, music and dancing, and hors d’oeuvres. There will also be a prize for the best costume. This event is sold out, however you can email Robin London at rlondon@nha.org to be put on the waitlist. Nantucket Magazine is the lead sponsor of this event.
A Safe Place's 26th Annual Clothes Line Project

The Clothesline Project is an emotionally moving art display consisting of t-shirts decorated by local survivors of domestic & sexual violence to honor survivors, help with the healing process, & raise awareness to the issues of domestic & sexual violence. Free materials will be available for participants to make their own t-shirts to add to the display if moved to do so. This event is taking place at the Nantucket Atheneum from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 26th.
Antique Car Parade & Tailgate Picnic

Head into town on Saturday, April 26th in the morning to view the bedecked vintage cars line up on Main Street, where drivers are often garbed in themed costumes! Vote on your favorites as “People’s Choice” ballots are available outside the Chamber office at 0 Main Street. Car staging will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the car parade begins at noon following this route: right on Centre Street, right on Broad Street, right on South Water Street, and back up Main Street. Cars continue left on Orange Street and head out of town, around the Rotary and out Milestone Road to ‘Sconset for the picnic. This is a Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce signature event.
Daffodil Festival Hat Pageant

The Daffodil hat pageant will take place on Saturday, April 26th at 10 a.m. giving people the chance to show off their creativity with a festively decorated, daffodil-themed hat and join the Pageant. Open to all. Ribbons awarded in adult and youth categories. This pageant will take place at the Children's Beach Bandstand. This is a Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce Signature Event.
Book Signing With Nancy Thayer

On Saturday, April 26th from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.,there will be a book signing with Nancy Thayer at Mitchell's Book Corner (54 Main Street).
Children's Beach Bike Parade

On Saturday, April 26th at 10:35 a.m., the Daffodil Weekend Children's Bike Parade will take place. This is an opportunity for children of all ages and their families to have fun while decorating their bicycle, wagon, skateboard, baby carriage or other self-propelled vehicles with a Daffodil theme, or people can simply come decked out in their best Daffy gear. Ribbons will be awarded to all participants. Children under the age of 10 should be accompanied by an adult, and all children on bicycles must wear a helmet. This is a Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce Signature Event.
Celebrate Daffy Weekend With The Nanpuppets

On Saturday, April 26th at 11 a.m. head to Children's Beach for a lively community puppet show with NanPuppets led by the Lizza Obremski.
Daffodil Magic With Magic Mark
On Saturday, April 26th at 11:45 a.m. at Children's Beach, get ready to be amazed with a magical performance by Magic Mark. His show is interactive, playful, and full of surprises where the audience becomes part of the magic.
Daffodil Weekend Dog Parade

On Saturday, April 27 at 12:30 p.m., join the Chamber in partnership with NiSHA (Nantucket Safe Harbor for Animals) for their Daffodil Dog Parade. Awards will be presented to the most dapper dog for an adorably memorable experience with the family. Sign-up on Main Street during the Antique Car Show or at Children's Beach after 12:15 p.m. Staging begins at 12:30 p.m. at Children's Beach bandstand directly after the Antique Cars head to Sconset. This is a Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce Signature Event.
Daffodil Flower Show At Bartlett's Farm

The Annual Daffodil Show will be held in the greenhouses at Bartlett’s Farm April 25, 26 & 27 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. American Daffodil Society Judges travel from as far away as Georgia, Maryland, New York, Connecticut, and New Hampshire to judge the entries.
There will be a complimentary bus service from Washington Street near the Wave bus terminal on Saturday only, beginning at 2 p.m. It is free to attend the show, but donations are accepted.
The Nantucket Daffodil 5K

On Sunday, April 27th beginning at 9 a.m., the Nantucket Daffodil 5K will take place and is presented by the Nantucket Triathlon Club.
The 5K race begins and ends at Codfish Park under the pedestrian bridge in the historic village of ‘Sconset on Nantucket Island. The course winds through quaint ‘Sconset Village, along Baxter Road and the ‘Sconset Bluff and finishes with a gorgeous view of the Atlantic and a fast downhill finish.
