Nantucket Current •
The Nantucket Historical Association (NHA) announced the headlining design talent who will be speaking at this year’s Nantucket by Design, which will be held from July 15-18 with the theme of “Craftsmanship.”
The keynote speaker is Ken Fulk, and the Design Luncheon will feature a conversation between Aerin Lauder and Mark D. Sikes, moderated by Stellene Volandes, editor-in-chief of Town & Country.
“We made a commitment to further elevate this year’s program, offering more calendar days and, in turn, more speaking engagements," Nantucket by Design 2024 co-chair Marla Sanford said. "Our headlining speakers set the tone, which is reinforced by the additional A-list luminaries that are joining us in celebrating the island’s creativity, culture, and commitment to craftsmanship.”
Participating speakers include Brian Sawyer, Darren Henault, David Kaihoi, Gary McBournie, Jesse Carrier, Joy Moyler, Keita Turner, Mara Miller, Mary McDonald, Meg Braff, Miles Redd, Victoria Hagan, and Young Huh among others. The NHA said the full schedule will be announced in the coming weeks and tickets will go on sale April 16.
“Nantucket by Design not only illuminates Nantucket’s rich historical and design significance but also preserves it for future generations as one of the Nantucket Historical Association’s key fundraising events," Nantucket by Design 2024 co-chair Bill Richards said. "We are thrilled to be joined by the incredible roster of design leaders, who lend their talent and voices in support of the NHA’s mission of commemorating Nantucket’s legacy while maintaining historic properties, programs, and collections for the enrichment of the island.”
