Photo Gallery: 2025 Nantucket Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

Hundreds of people flocked to Main Street on Friday for the Chamber of Commerce's annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony to kickoff the holiday season.
The ceremony had a more traditional feel this year as the heavy security measures required during Joe Biden's Presidency from 2021 to 2024 were no longer needed now that his term has concluded.
Biden and his family were still in attendance this year with a small security area located where they were standing on Centre Street. The rest of Main Street was packed with islanders and their families as the Main Street trees were lit up following a countdown led by Chamber of Commerce executive director Peter Burke.
