Rose & Crown Expanding Services, Will Begin Serving Breakfast Monday

The Rose & Crown Restaurant on South Water Street is expanding their services. The downtown staple announced on Saturday that they will begin serving breakfast today, June 27.
The service will be offered Monday through Thursday every week from 8-11 a.m. It will be on a first come, first serve basis.
General Manager Debba Pitcock suggested this could be a possibility in an interview with the Current last month. She said only outdoor seating will be available, which consists of about 20 seats.
"We feel like there is a hole in that market that isn't being filled," she said. "I would never do it on mornings after we do late nights. It would just be too hard. But I think just doing it Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays is doable. If it rains we don't do it. It is only 20 seats and a three hour window. It will be a limited menu but I also feel like that is another part of the market that isn't being met downtown."
Some of the breakfast items include pancakes, classic eggs benedict, bagel with smoked salmon, and a croissant sandwich with egg, bacon, and pickled red onion. Fruit salads and greek yogurt with granola will also be available. The full menu is below.
