“At the heart of my work is a genuine passion for people. I’m grateful to be part of the Steamship Authority community and to have the privilege to build meaningful relationships and foster trust with its employees,” Aguilera said. “Through training and development, my goal is to help create a workplace culture where everyone feels safe, connected, supported, and empowered to succeed.”

“Since I started as general manager at the Steamship Authority earlier this year, the need for a single individual to oversee training and development efforts has been evident,” said General Manager Alex Kryska. “We’re fortunate to have a professional with Simone’s background and talents on board, and I’m thrilled to welcome her to the team.”

The SSA said that among Aguilera’s responsibilities will be coordinating the Authority’s twice-yearly Training and Development Expo, a two-week period in which multiple training and development offerings are scheduled for staff members throughout the company.
