The Nantucket Cottage Hospital was recently commended for excellence in patient experience by National Research Corporation (NRC) Health in its ‘Small Hospital’ category which recognizes organizations for their commitment to enhancing care experiences for every patient.

“This recognition underscores Nantucket Cottage Hospital’s commitment to its patients and our determination to not only provide the very best care to our community, but to do so in a way that values and respects each individual who comes through our doors by providing the greatest patient experience,” said Barbara Malone, MD, the hospital’s associate chief medical officer. “While we don’t come to work each day to win awards, recognitions such as these highlight the dedication of our staff who tirelessly devote themselves to caring for our patients each and every day.”

NCH was among three award winners nationally out of a pool of more than 200 hospitals with fewer than 150 beds and selected based on its real-time NPS score for the “Would Recommend Facility” question during the time period of April 1st, 2025 through March 31st, 2026.
