Coastal Conservancy: Let's Come Together

To the editor: Thank you to all of the voters who stayed until the very end of the second night of Town Meeting to say NO to Article 73 and YES to preserving our legacy beach below the bluff in Sconset.

We are especially grateful to the island fishing captains for speaking out, as well as to the former Conservation Commission members for standing up for the science and the law.

Now let's come together. We would welcome working with the town, the Siasconset Beach Preservation Fund (SBPF), the Nantucket Land and Water Council, the Land Bank, the Sconset Trust, the Sconset Civic Association, and others to move forward in a positive manner.
