Forest Management And Public Safety

To the editor: These past two weeks, KJP Land & Environment has been in the process of implementing an approved forest cutting plan. The work is being completed at the Massachusetts Audubon Lost Farm Property. During the work period, signs and trail closures have been clearly posted on multiple social media platforms and the property itself. On more than one occasion, people have exhibited entitled behavior and entered the active work area.

The methods and equipment used to complete this type of work are very hazardous to those not involved in the process. A sense of entitlement will not protect you from these hazards nor will your pleas of ignorance. This is just one of many projects occurring on multiple properties.

Please respect all closures for your safety. Our staff does not want to live with the personal grief your injuries or death would cause us.
