Girls Soccer Trip To Holy Cross A Success

To the Editor,

Dear Coach Doug LeBrecht, Mary Ard, NHS Athletic Director Travis Lombardi, Captain Shelly Blumsack and Head Coach Ben Graham, we are writing to extend our deepest gratitude for the exceptional experience the Nantucket Girls Varsity & JV soccer teams had at Holy Cross, a Div. 1 school, last Saturday. The opportunity to tour the athletic facilities, meet with current players, team captains, and to have a Q&A session with the head coach was both eye-opening and inspiring.

Holy Cross Head Coach Ben Graham, thank you for your generosity in taking time out of your busy schedules, particularly before the game against Bucknell. It was truly appreciated. This first-hand introduction to the world of college sports will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on our young players and it was the perfect way to give them a glimpse of what their future could hold.

Shelly Blumsack, as a recent graduate and captain of the Holy Cross soccer team, your participation not only inspired the team but provided a tangible example of what dedication and hard work can lead to.

The highlight of our visit was seeing Evelyn Fey, a student at Holy Cross and a recent Nantucket graduate. It was an absolute joy to see one of our own succeeding at such a high level. It provided our girls with a real-life example of what they can strive for and achieve.

We are truly grateful for the time, effort, and enthusiasm you all invested in making this visit possible. It was a unique experience that I am sure will be a defining moment for many of our players.

Thank you once again for this incredible opportunity and for your unwavering support of the Nantucket Girls Varsity& JV Soccer Team. We look forward to future collaborations and wish you all continued success in your respective roles.

With sincere thanks,
Justin Quinn
