Kozlowskis' Good Deeds Aren't Limited To Saving Nantucket Pharmacy

To the editor: Like many islanders, I was very happy to learn that Kimberly and Dennis Kozlowski have stepped in to purchase the Nantucket Pharmacy. The pharmacy is not just a business, it is a true island institution, one of the last remaining pieces of the “old Nantucket” that still graces Main Street. For generations, we’ve all cherished fond memories of the iconic soda fountain, the friendly staff, and the delight of exploring the fun and ever-changing retail space, all while relying on the essential pharmacy services that have cared for our community year-round.
By purchasing and preserving the pharmacy, the Kozlowskis have given Nantucket an
extraordinary gift, ensuring that this beloved landmark will continue to serve islanders
and visitors alike, maintaining both its historic charm and its vital role in daily life. It’s an act of generosity and stewardship that speaks volumes about their commitment to
Nantucket.
That commitment is also reflected in their investments across the island’s nonprofit
landscape. Their generous support of Theatre Workshop of Nantucket, another
treasured island institution celebrating its 70th birthday in 2026, has helped sustain
the arts at the heart of our community. Kimberly’s hands-on leadership has transformed TWN’s summer benefit into one of the premier events of the season, ensuring that the theatre continues to thrive for years to come.
In preserving the Nantucket Pharmacy, the Kozlowskis have once again demonstrated
their care for what makes this island so special, something for which I, for one, am deeply grateful.
