Nantucket Saves Urging Community To Volunteer To Give Blood

To the editor: Nantucket Saves needs your help. We are 200 donors short of our 400 donor goal (pints of blood) collected for our upcoming June 2nd and 3rd blood drive.
The dedicated Nantucket Saves team has worked for six months to make this blood drive a massive success. We have 30 Red Cross team members, four blood mobiles, and an island team ready to roll. We have done all we can. Now we desperately need the Nantucket community to support our efforts and sign up to donate blood.
Please join our team. Should you or a family member ever need blood, it will hopefully be there because someone before you donated to support the Red Cross.
A blood bank is just like any other bank. Only at the blood bank, you make deposits hoping you never need to make a withdrawal.
